Grades 7-12 participated in CopeAble with the OSU Extension Office. Their activities included a card game in which they encountered life events. Students had to choose an action that was positive or negative and related points for their team.

Since so many students Grades 7-12 forgot their permission slips for the Copeable program today, all students will attend. If you believe your student will be triggered by any of the situations being addressed for coping skills, please call the office and let Cindy know they should not attend prior to 11 a.m. today.

Junior High Track bus will leave Mutual at 8:15 Monday morning headed to Okeene.

Northwestern Electric Cooperative has extended their deadline for an amazing opportunity for 8th graders. Energy Camp is a hands-on experience full of leadership-building activities, and we would love to send as many students as possible!! The link to their website for the energy camp contest: https://www.nwecok.coop/energy-camp
Direct link to the application form is https://forms.gle/RBeTKjcsJSvXq3SH7. Applications are due April 15, 2025.
More about Camp: This 3-day camp in Hinton, OK, is for eighth-graders - no NWEC membership required. Camp is May 27-30, 2025. Students participate in lots of hands-on activities, including climbing a utility pole and going up in a bucket, and build leadership skills with lots of workshops to keep things moving throughout the trip (side note: I have gone as a counselor and these kids really come out of their shell, have a great time and make friends from across the state!).Students are transported to and from the camp as well, so there is truly no expense for these students.

Mr. Shryock's 9th grade physical science class had an egg drop experiment today, with Rowdy Cole having the longest hang time from Grandstand to ground.

Great skills to have!

Seniors are participating in Senior Boot Camp at HPTC learning some self defense, financial and other adulting skills they need.

The Woodward Rotary Club would like to invite your interested Sophomore to apply to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp - this is an AMAZING leadership opportunity!!! The Woodward Rotary Club will pay the cost (a $600.00 value) for selected campers. Click on the link below to read about RYLA and please encourage your student to attend!
RYLA+ (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) prepares your studentsā life as a leader in this world.
Application Deadline is May 1st, 2025.
The mandatory pre-retreat convocation will be held July 13th from 1-4 pm online. The retreat will take place July 17th-20th, overnight at Camp Twin Cedars in Guthrie, OK.
Because we want to see campers succeed in life, we have designed RYLA+ to teach leadership skills in multiple environments-- part virtual, part in-person, fully active, RYLA+ is a student retreat experience like no other, which allows your students to explore their leadership qualities and to understand the qualities of others. Attendees learn how to most effectively utilize everyone on the team and how to stay sane in this crazy, busy world. Students participate in challenging activities, explore character qualities and learn about what it takes to be a leader in the community. We accomplish all of this in unique and fun ways.
Each year, students come together from across the district for a leadership experience like no other. The Woodward Rotary Club will cover all the cost for the students we sponsor, which means that Camp RYLA is 100% free to your selected student. Because of this, we are only looking for students who are committed and are up for the fun and the challenge.
The completed form will be submitted to the local Rotary Club for review. Local Rotary Clubs decide how many students they wish to sponsor and who they sponsor. If selected, your student(s) will be emailed an acceptance letter. By filling out this form, students agree that if they are selected, you will make RYLA+ the priority for the duration of the retreat. The mandatory pre-retreat convocation will be held July 13th from 1-4 pm online. The retreat will take place July 17th-20th, overnight at Camp Twin Cedars in Guthrie, OK.
