Seventh grade student, Jaxon Irving sang at his concert with Western Oklahoma Choir Directors Association (WOCDA), Monday night in Weatherford at SWOSU Auditorium. He will travel to Enid this Saturday to audition for the Junior High All State Choir. Great Job, Jaxon!

S-M FCCLA participated in district conference at Ringwood this morning. Keynote speaker Dustin Galyon emphasized leaders have a hand out and a willing heart. Students participated in a scavenger hunt and Star Event participants and winners weee recognized. President Megan Spray and Blayze Clem introduced the chapter with the chapter poster.



There are alternatives to succumbing to substance abuse and peer pressure. Great job panel participants!!!

Seniors and parents, even if you think you won't qualify for federal financial aid, you should file the FAFSA every year beginning your senior year of high school until you finish college. Some college scholarships use the information. Oklahoma's Promise students are required to file the FAFSA every year to qualify.
There will be an informational meeting for any freshmen/sophomore and their parents who are interested in this trip listed on the flyer, Wednesday, October 27 at 6:00 pm. Location for the meeting is in Mrs. Hutchens room in Mutual.

Sharon-Mutual High School will be hosting a FAFSA preparation night for seniors and their families on Monday, November 1st at 6 pm in the . The FAFSA is the federal financial aid system. See the list of documents you need to bring with you along with your chrome book. Their staff will aid you in completing the FAFSA that night if you have the information with you and can answer any questions you may have.

The 5/6 grade basketball teams are in the Mooreland tournament this week. Here is the bracket. We will leave tomorrow from the elementary at 2:15.

The students and staff have worked really hard this week on all the Homecoming activities. Homecoming will start at 6:15 and the game is at 7:00.
We will end our school day with a parade at 1:00 in Sharon and a pep assembly following.
Parents you may pick your student up after the pep assembly. Please let your teacher know you are taking your student. We will run buses from Sharon after the assembly. If you are in the pickup line we will start loading at 3:00ish.
5/6 basketball will leave right after the pep assembly from the elementary to go to Arnett for their game.

RSVP letters will go home Monday and need to be returned Tuesday for the parent meeting Wednesday. If you cannot make the meeting, but are still interested, you can still RSVP and World Classroom will contact you.

Chrystal emphasized thereās always something better coming for you. You should be thankful for the good in your life and you should work to be happy by making the most of what you have.

Some of the topics she covered were self-imposed obstacles, grief, and obstacles imposed by others. Chrystal works with Code Red. She emphasized you can be anything you want to be. Sheās a former coach and teacher and now feels called to speak to young people. She believes we all have the ability to impact someone and help them. She works with Code Red and has a degree in education with a minor in history.
