Just a heads up for ALL junior parents...state testing begins April 6 at 8 a.m. and runs through April 8. The testing schedule is as follows:
April 6 at 8 a.m. ACT test
April 7 at 8 a.m. CCRA Science
April 8 at 8 a.m. CCRA U.S. History
MOST IMPORTANTLY, all juniors MUST participate in the assessments before they can be awarded a diploma upon completing their graduation requirements. This is an Oklahoma State Department of Education regulation 70 O.S. Section 1210.508 (E)-(F).
Please make sure your student is here at Mutual on time for the tests. They will be excused from career tech on those dates. Thank you for your help!

8th through 10th graders are eligible to apply for Oklahoma's Promise, a tuition payment program for students whose adjusted gross income is $55,000 or less. This is a great way to get help with college. Apply now at https://www.okhighered.org/okpromise/application-requirements.shtml.

Concurrent enrollment schedules are now available for summer and fall. Concurrent enrollment allows students whose ACT scores qualify them to take college classes while in high school. Juniors may take 9 hours with tuition waived by the college and seniors may take 18 hours with tuition paid by the Oklahoma Regents. Students are responsible for paying class fees and purchasing books. See Mrs. Hopper if you are interested to see if you qualify.

The US Naval Academy is holding its world-class Summer STEM Camp and Summer Seminar this coming June in a virtual format, and we would love to have more students from your school join us!
Summer STEM (https://www.usna.edu/Admissions/Programs/STEM.php) is for current 8th, 9th and 10th graders, while Summer Seminar (https://www.usna.edu/Admissions/Programs/NASS.php) is for current 11th graders. Both are amazing experiences! I'm attaching a flyer that has information about the programs.
There is a fee associated with each - but we have scholarships available (depending on the family's individual circumstances). The fee includes USNA apparel and program materials.
Please feel free to share this information with students, parents, teachers...anyone you think might be interested! Also, I'm happy to speak with families of interested students, so pass on my contact info, as well.
Thank you for helping to make this a great summer experience for your students!
Very respectfully,
