Reminder: The temperatures will still be cold in the mornings. Parents of PreK through 8th grade please do not send your student to school in shorts at this time. It’s time for CAMP RYLA!!! RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) is an amazing leadership camp for Sophomores going into their Junior year! Each year the Woodward Rotary Club sponsors several area Sophomores to participate in Camp RYLA. This year, because of the uncertainty of the summer, the committee and district leadership have made the call to hold eRYLA (virtual camp RYLA) once again for our districts. With the restrictions, at this time, we’re not sure we could provide much of a transformative experience in person. We are, however, confident that we can provide a powerful, transformative experience in a virtual setting, as we have done and continue to do so. Sophomores apply online, then the Woodward Rotary Club will select who will be attending. The camp costs $450.00 per student and the Woodward Rotary Club will pay for the camp for the selected students. APPLICATIONS – Due by April 1st Please have students go to www.leadernu.com/eRYLA/d5750 to fill out the application. On this page, there is also a video for them about eRYLA as well as more information. To access the application, they should click the ā€œAPPLY NOWā€ button. Once they’ve submitted the application, they will receive a confirmation email. Applications officially open this week. BASIC CAMP RYLA INFORMATION July 7-11, 2021 Each selected recipient will recieve a secure login with access to our unique website (all Zoom links and activities are built into the site) and a retreat crate (with all of their supplies for eRYLA activities). Please check out this quick video about eRYLA. Shorter promo video: Click here Longer promo/explainer video: Click here Costs: Camper = $450 (first year students) Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns – we are looking forward to another exciting virtual Camp RYLA!!
