any seniors who are interested in enrolling in the High Plains Practical Nursing Program, our application is now available online at the following link: HPTC Student Portal The deadline for enrollment is May 31st. Employment of LPN’s is projected to grow 16 percent from 2020 to 2030! About 60,700 openings for LPN’s are projected each year, on average, over the decade, which is incredible. LPN’s never have difficulty finding employment, so if you have students interested in nursing – please encourage them to enroll! If your students have questions, they may call our director of nursing, Micky McDonald at 580-571-6101. Thank you for all you do! Course Requirements Students will have to show proof of a passing grade or certificate of completion for Medical Terminology and proof of certification for CAN as well as have the American Heart Association: BLS Healthcare Provider. All CNA requirements, Medical Terminology and CPR requirements must be completed by the date outlined in the application packet. HPTC does offer these course requirements through our Short Term Adult classes or online. *HPTC now accepts the ACT as the PN entrance exam. A composite of 17 or a 17 in reading and math is required for entrance. Below are the registration deadlines and test dates available to take the ACT at HPTC. Registration Deadline Test Date Friday, March 11, 2022 Monday, March 28, 2022 Monday, March 21, 2022 Friday, April 8, 2022 There are limited testing spots available for each test date. If you have any students who have not taken the ACT or want to re-take it to improve their scores, they can take the residual ACT at HPTC. Have your students call 580-571-6127 to a residual ACT exam . A $60 nonrefundable testing fee must be paid by the registration deadline. To sign up for a National Test Date visit www.act.org. Drop In's are not allowed due to the cost of the ACT's. A $50 Application Fee is required before your Application will be considered for enrollment.

District vocal results are in! JH Who Has Seen the Wind got a II, JH Grow Little Tree got a I, HS Jubilate Deo got a II, mixed ensemble Brighten My Soul With Sunshine got a I. The mixed ensemble will go to state in April. Way to go!! Great job Trojans!

Congratulations to seniors Lane Spencer and Tabor Marlatt for earning Oklahoma Academic Coaches Association All-State Honorable Mention. 72 seniors who compete in at least two OSSAA academic bowl events are recognized. 36 are recognized for all-state and 36 are recognized for honorable mention.
