VFW Post #1335 wanted to share a couple of outstanding scholarship opportunities with our students. They're called Patriot's Pen (6th-8th) & Voice of Democracy (9th-12th). Contact Cindy at cfree@smps.k12.ok.us or 580-989-3231 for instructions on applying. The deadline for both is October 31st.

Senior parents whose senior is planning to go to college or technical school should go to fafsa.gov and create a parent ID and have your senior create a parent ID. It is a graduation requirement to complete the FAFSA in Oklahoma now. The ID takes a few days to create and be available so it needs to be done now so you are ready when the time comes. The FAFSA is expected to open in December.

Junior High Volleyball schedule for Weatherford tournament this Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m.

OBA Volleyball Tournament starting at 3:00 pm Friday and 8:30 am Saturday morning.

No TAP or Career Tech tomorrow, they are out for Professional Day. Tap and Career Tech students should report to their 3rd and 4th hour classes at their regularly scheduled times at the High School.

High School Football schedule update: Kremlin Hillsdale is canceling their season so the game scheduled with them is open now, October 18th. We are currently trying to find a different opponent for that date. Stay tuned for future updates.
