Junior High boys powerlifting results for today.... Rylynn Chapman 3rd 105 lbs class, Hunter Bosscawen 3rd 132 lbs class, Jett Brittain 2nd 157 lbs class, Trevor James 1st 168 lbs class, and Creed White 3rd 181 lbs class with an impressive 405 lbs deadlift. Great job Trojans!💪💪💪

High School Juniors, apply for the Horatio Alger Scholarship at horatioalger.org/scholarships by March 1. The scholarship is for U.S. citizenship and household income under $65,000.

Each year the Kiwanis Club of Woodward presents one Sophomore from Woodward County with the local Walter Hurst Sophomore of the Year Award. The local winner's application is then submitted to the Kiwanis Division 16 office and judged against other local winners in the Division. The Division winner reaches the Texas-Oklahoma District level and is honored with a $600 scholarship. Over the years we have had several local winners achieve the District level, including Khloe Clemence, last year's SOTY. As an extra incentive, the Kiwanis Club of Woodward provides the local winner with a $250.00 scholarship which is presented upon graduation from high school. Please see Mrs. Hopper for the 2025 application, which is due on March 7, 2025. In addition to listing your achievements and expressing yourself in writing, attention to the details of the instructions in filling out the application is a key factor. Tthe Kiwanis Club of Woodward scholarship is now open. The application form for 2025 and a cover letter for your information has been provided in each of the seniors' emails or you may see Mrs. Hopper for an application. These scholarships are geared towards students that might not qualify as valedictorians or salutatorians, or are OHLAP qualified, but have a good academic record and have been involved in leadership and community service.

The Woodward Rotary Club Scholarship Application is now open and may be obtained from Mrs. Hopper. The application is due back to Mrs. Hopper on March 12th.
