Mrs. Syms 2nd grade class participates in the Thunder Reading Challenge. Students track their minutes read throughout the school year. The OKC Thunder honors the top reader every month. Hunter Bosscawen was the top reader for November and December. Hunter read 1,120 minutes in November and 1,505 minutes in December. He received a t-shirt and stocking hat along with a certificate from the OKC Thunder. Congratulations Hunter on your hard work!

Received this message today from one of our Trojan parents: I text coach Marlatt last night, but thought I would let you know that I worked concessions with the boys basketball last night, and let me tell you that was the most respectful group of kids I have even seen! It was yes ma’am, no ma’am, thank you! They never even hesitated when I would ask for help! They jumped right in when it was time to clean! I was beyond impressed with that group of kids! So proud of our kids!!

Way to go FFA members! Today we had 6 students compete in Career Development Events contest at Woodward today. Sammi, Sharley, Cade and Lexie placed 3rd team overall in the Food Science division. Nathaniel and Blayze competed in the Milk Quality and Products contest. Great way to start off the semester!

It is time for me to speak to Juniors and Seniors about Redlands Community College and the amazing opportunities that await them. Many students do not realize the benefits that community college has to offer them and I would love to present to them about Redlands. Please know that you can schedule after Spring Break and we can also complete concurrent enrollment for Summer & Fall for your school. I would also be happy to discuss concurrent classes to current sophomores that will be qualifying for concurrent enrollment as juniors.  Here is a link for scholarships for seniors who are currently enrolled concurrently and/or who plan on attending Redlands Community College in the fall 2020 semester as a student after high school graduation.  Please have seniors complete these as financial assistance in college is ALWAYS a big help!
